Rev. Joe Greemore pastors the first Baptist Church of Waterloo, IA. Previously, Joe served on the staffs of two other flagship American Baptist Churches: First Baptist Church Topeka, KS and Calvary Baptist Church of Denver, CO. Joe is grateful to God for his life and vocational journey. An American Baptist from his youth up, Joe attended Ottawa University pursuing majors in Religion and Philosophy, Music Education, and Music Performance between 2000 and 2004. He is married to the love of his life, Shelby; the Greemore's met at Ottawa in 2003 at Braving Discipleship working together as volunteer leaders.

Joe has traveled abroad frequently, to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, engaging in mission, music, and ministry. The core of his being is a deep-seated appreciation for diversity. Joe has passions for sacred music and community and physical fitness. Joe also served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 2005 to 2013, following up his Liberal Arts education with specified vocational training in aviation mechanics. He serves in various leadership roles in regional and denominational events and is grateful for the ‘small world' of American Baptist life. One of Joe's favorite contemplatives is Thomas Merton, who said on courage and faith: "You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope."

Rev. Dr. Dorothy Smith is an ordained elder with the United Methodist Church and has served as a pastor for 25 years. She received a BA in Liberal Arts from Ottawa University, Master's of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology and her Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Saint Paul School of Theology. She received her certification in Spiritual Direction from the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church and her certification in coaching from Coaching4Clergy.

David J. Grummon, J.D. is the son and grandson of American Baptist ministers and missionaries, David Grummon grew up in the rural town of Beloit, Kansas. While in high school, he spent a year as an AFS exchange student in southern Mexico, and returned with a passion to serve the kind of people he met there. After graduating from Ottawa University in 1999 and the KU School of Law in 2002, he started his own law practice in the Argentine neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas, focusing on serving mostly Spanish-speaking clients in the areas of Criminal Defense and Workers Compensation. He lives with his wife, Miranda, and their two sons, Joshua and Isaiah, in Shawnee, Kansas.

Jay Coombes is a Kansas City Actor, Singer, Director and Voice Coach at Miller Marley School of Dance and Voice. He has been seen on most of Kansas City Stages. Some favorites include Max Bialystock in "The Producers" , Many Characters in "Forbidden Broadway" Edna Turnblad in "Hairspray" Beadle in "Sweeney Todd", and Moonface Martin in "Anything Goes" While a student at Ottawa University Jay was very active in theater and music. He was a Music Education Major finishing in 1981. His Favorite role, however is Husband to Sonja and Dad to Liam.

Janice Trigg - Janice G. Trigg, M.S. currently serves as the Alumni Director for Ottawa University. After graduating from OU in 1979 with a B.A. in Elementary Education she taught in Colorado for several years before returning to OU as a Resident Director and Student Activities Director. Mentoring college students quickly became her passion and she continued her studies at Emporia State University receiving a master's degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education. The next stop on her journey was Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida as Director of Student Activities. It was there she realized that counseling was another passion so she studied Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University and received a second master's degree. Since then she has provided individual and family counseling services in a variety of settings and is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Kansas.

Janice is an animal lover and loves to travel. She has traveled extensively through Europe. One of her favorite trips was a short term mission trip to Kosova where she was able to teach leadership skills to Kosovar college students and acquired one of her beloved dogs, Mije.

Jeff Berg is an Oklahoma native and over the past fifteen years has worked statewide and nationally to impact students and their families. He received a BA in History and Political Science from Ottawa University where he had the opportunity to play college football, sing in the University concert choir, and was one of the co-founders of Surge Ministries. Upon leaving Kansas, Jeff was selected to participate in the first ever class at the Kanakuk Institute, an accelerated seminary located in Branson, Missouri. In 2007, Jeff completed his MA in Youth & Family from John Brown University, became a Prepare & Enrich credited counselor, and was also ordained as a pastor. Since then, Jeff has become a certified secondary education teacher, a law enforcement officer and started his own company (Surge Leadership). Most recently he launched The Spartan Code: A modern look at the ancient leadership principles of Sparta. Jeff's greatest passion and dream is to impact others to change the world!
