Instructor Dena Morgan grew up in New Jersey and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Western Maryland College.  In 2001, she relocated to Arizona and pursued her MA – Education with a concentration in school counseling. She was a school counselor for 12 years and has worked with all K-12 age groups specializing in Conflict Resolution, Anti-Bullying, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma and Grief Counseling. In 2010, Ms. Morgan decided to make a career change with the intent of working in the juvenile court system.  She completed a second graduate degree in Forensic Psychology in 2013 with Argosy University and left the school counseling realm in 2014 to work with Pinal County Juvenile Court as a Dependency Mediator and Integrated Family Court Coordinator. She was then offered a Clinical Supervisor position through Pinal County Conciliation Court. In her current position as Clinical Supervisor, Ms. Morgan oversees a team of clinicians, conducts family assessments to provide recommendations to the Court on custody matters such as legal decision-making and parenting time, as well as other services to help families experiencing separation or divorce. She has been teaching with Ottawa University in Arizona as an Adjunct since 2009 in the Masters of Education – School Counseling program, and is a member of Ottawa University’s School Guidance Advisory Board. In her free time, Ms. Morgan loves to travel, run, hike and spend time with her family.
