Ottawa University Arizona Announces Free Jan. 11 MBA Seminar Taught by President Eichner

(OUAZ) is offering a complimentary MBA seminar from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 11, called “Building a High Performance Organization,” taught by OU President Kevin Eichner
. This will be the first time the seminar is offered at OUAZ’s new residential campus in Surprise and also the first time the public is invited to attend.
Eichner is in demand as a speaker and consultant on leadership, organization and personal effectiveness. A seasoned executive leader in corporate America, banking, strategic planning and not-for-profit education, he is known for enabling organizations to increase organizational effectiveness and accomplish their strategic priorities.
“Participating in experiences such as our free MBA seminar is one of the many benefits of a college town. We are thrilled to invite local Surprise residents to participate in this seminar as we prepare students for a life of significance,” said Eichner. “The seminar will inspire results for improving performance and provide additional take home tools to use now.”
Eichner has presented this seminar to executives for years. Recently, he presented to the Sun Health Board of Directors in the West Valley.
The seminar is a required part of “Leading Business to Create Value,” a graduate level eight-week MBA course taught by Eichner and Dr. Marylou Dewald, Dean of Ottawa University’s Global Initiatives and professor in the Angell Snyder School of Business. Eichner has taught the class for several years.
Eichner has an extensive executive business background. Before taking over the top position at Ottawa University, Eichner served as president, CEO and vice chairman of Enterprise Financial Services Corporation, the parent company of Enterprise Bank & Trust, a $5.6 billion banking and $1.6 billion wealth management company headquartered in St. Louis. A co-founder of Enterprise, he served as its CEO for six years and oversaw its emergence as a NASDAQ-traded company. Eichner also previously served as an executive president and later CEO of General American/MetLife for five years. He currently serves on the GPEC Board of Directors.
Business leaders in a variety of positions such as vice presidents, managers, and human resource professionals would benefit from the seminar.
