We understand what it’s like for adults to return to college, especially while working. That’s why we work with you to create a degree completion plan that works with your busy schedule. Ottawa University holds articulation agreements with more than 50 community and technical colleges. Combined with our generous credit transfer policy, this can save you time and money as you complete your degree. Up to 80 credit hours of lower division credit can be accepted towards a bachelor’s degree. Additional hours may be transferred into graduate programs consisting of 50 semester credit hours. And we may award up to 32 credits by examination.

Apply to OUAZ online now and you’ll get on the path to receiving transfer credit for the credit hours you’ve already earned, we’ll help you leverage all the financial aid you’re entitled to and develop your timeline to degree completion.

• Send us your transcripts.

Request your official transcripts from the colleges/universities you’ve attended. They must be sent directly to our registrar's department.

• Complete the FAFSA

Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at the official government site: studentaid.gov. Preference Ottawa University and school code 001937. This gives us the information we need to help you leverage all the financial aid options available to you.

When all application materials, including the FAFSA, are received, you will receive your estimated financial aid award letter. The award letter lists all financial aid you are eligible to receive.
