Susan Mitchum Jones

Jones lettered in volleyball (1975), basketball (1975-79), and golf (1977-78) for the Lady Braves.

She was a member of the first volleyball team, helping the Lady Braves to a record of 10-11.

On the basketball court, Jones helped the Lady Braves to a four year record of 25-54. She was the first women’s basketball player in program history to score over 1,000 points. Jones was a three-time First Team All-Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) selection and earned Second Team All-HAAC honors in 1975-76.

On the golf course Jones played on the men’s team. She helped the Braves to a fourth place finish at the 1977 HAAC Championships, shooting a 200. In 1978, Jones helped the Braves to a sixth place finish at the HAAC Championship. She finished the 18 hole tournament shooting a 98.
