A four-year letter winner in football, Alonzo finished his career with 2,596 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns. In 1986, he was named Second Team All-KCAC and set the OU record for single game touchdowns against McPherson College with five, which stands today. He is also second all-time at OU in most yards in a single game (278) and third in all-time career rushing yards (2,596). He had 100 yards or more in a single game 11 times during his Braves career.

Current/Past Business, Profession or Occupation
Alonzo is a human resources manager at Johnson Controls, Inc. He has also worked as a manufacturing superintendent, line supervisor, employee relations manager, and corporate trainer. He was inducted into the Frostproof High School Hall of Fame in 2015.
 
Current/Past Community Involvement
Alonzo coaches little league football, basketball and baseball. He’s a Rotarian and a member of the Polk State College School Advisory Committee. Through his company, he works with their internal volunteer program called Blue Sky, where he is responsible for recruiting as many of his workers as possible to participate in events that support non-profit organizations.
