Duane Bissitt
Bissitt earned three letters in football (1961-63) and earned four in basketball (1961-65) for the Braves.

As a member of the football team, Bissitt helped the Braves to a record of 27-3 and to a KCAC Championship with an undefeated 9-0 record in 1961. He earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors on defense in 1962 and 1963. Bissitt was a graduate assistant coach for the 1964 season.

On the basketball court Bissitt helped lead the Braves to a record of 46-46. He helped the Braves to a KCAC Championship and an appearance in the Kansas NAIA Playoffs in 1961-62. Bissit earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors in 1963-64 and was team co-captain in 1964-65.

Bissitt taught for 35 years and coached for 20 at Roosevelt High School in Emporia, Kan., Halstead Middle and High Schools in Halstead, Kan., and Holton High School in Holton, Kan. In 20 years, his basketball teams won several league championships and made several appearances at the Kansas State Basketball Tournament.
