Keith Brooks
Brooks was a four year letterman (1953-56) on the gridiron for the Braves. He was a three-time All-KCAC selection at running back, earning First Team honors in 1954 and 1955. Brooks helped the Braves to a four year record of 12-23-1 playing for coaches Paul J. Andree and Grover Nutt.

Brooks put his name in the OU record book during his time as a Brave. He is ranked sixth in single game rushing (238 yards vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State), first in career rushing yards (3,360), seventh in career scoring (166), sixth in career interceptions (9), and fifth in career touchdowns (26). Four of those interceptions were returned for touchdowns.

Brooks finished his career by scoring 26 touchdowns, connecting on 10 extra points. He had 22 rushing touchdowns with 13 of those being over 30 yards and six of them over 60 yards. Brooks also threw two touchdown passes.

After graduating from OU, Brooks enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked for 32 years at Rockwell International/Atchison Casting, retiring in 1997.
