Lindsey was a three-year letter winner in cross country, track and field and cheerleading. As a cross country runner, she qualified for the national championships in 1997. She was a fourth place finisher at the 1997 KCAC Conference Championships and earned All-Conference honors in 1996 and 1997. As a member of the track and field team, she was the 1997 and 1998 KCAC Champion in the 3000m and 5000m runs. She also won the 5000m NAIA Mid State Championship in 1997 with a 19:10.00. She earned All-Conference honors in during the 1998 season.

Current/Past Business, Profession or Occupation
Lindsey currently works as a Level 3 RN, BSN at St. Luke’s South Hospital in the St. Luke’s Health System. She has worked there for the last 11 years in the neonatal intensive care unit, well baby nursery and mother baby units. She previously worked as a RN in newborn/special care nursery at Saint Francis Medical Center and in pediatrics at KU Medical Center.
 
Current/Past Community Involvement
Lindsey and her husband JJ are supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Lindsey also serves in various capacities in her church and volunteers as a track and cross country coach for the parish school. She has also volunteered as a Girl Scout Troop Co-Leader and is active in Sigma Theta Tau International (Delta Chapter) for nursing.
