Robert McGhee
McGhee earned two letters (1956-58) on the basketball court for the Braves.

He led the Braves to a two year record of 31-18, to the 1957-58 KCAC Championship, and to the 1957-58 Kansas NAIA Playoffs. McGhee led the KCAC in scoring and set the then school record single game scoring record. As a senior, his scoring average of 24.4 was ranked ninth in the NAIA.

McGhee earned Honorable Mention All-NAIA All-American honors in 1957-58, was a two-time All-District 10 selection, and earned First Team All-KCAC honors in 1956-57 and 1957-58. He was named MVP of the prestigious 1957 Ottawa Christmas Jaycee Tournament.

McGhee put his name in the OU record book and is ranked eighth in career shooting percentage (.520), eighth in career free throws attempted (460), 10th in free throws made (306), first in career scoring average (24.6), fourth (609) and fifth (597) in single season scoring, 10th in single season rebounding (241), fifth (446) and tied for 10th (419) in single season field goals attempted, fourth (229) and sixth (221) in single season field goals made, tied for first (24.9) and is third (24.4) in single season scoring average, second (239) and fourth (221) in single season free throws attempted, tied for third (158) and tied for eighth (151) in single season free throws made, and fourth in single game scoring (42).
