Moore lettered in football (1946-48), men’s basketball (1943-44, 1945-47, 1948-49), and track (1947-48) for the Braves.

In his three years as a member of the OU football team, Moore helped lead the Braves to a record of 20-6-2. He was part of the 1947 and 1948 Kansas Conference Championship teams under head coach Wallace A. Forsberg. Moore earned Honorable Mention All-KS Conference honors at receiver in 1946.

As a member of the OU men’s basketball team the Braves had a four year record of 36-25. Moore was part of the 1946-47 and 1948-49 Kansas Conference Championship Team. On the track, Moore helped the Braves to two Kansas Conference Championships.

Moore served in the 8th Air Force in England before attending Ottawa University. He completed 35 missions over Germany. He went on to coach and teach in Kansas high schools for eight years. Moore then went on to serve for ten years at Friends University as Director of Athletics and head of the Business/Profession Education Department.
