Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology


Psychology offers a curriculum based on scientific research which focuses on improving real world issues. The curriculum has a scientific concentration in clinical psychology, clinical neurosciences and criminal and forensic psychology. The Applied Psychology major emphasizes the teaching of theories and methods that will culminate in the acquisition of a specific set of professional skills. As an educational program, the Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology accentuates experiential pedagogic events, mindful learning and hands-on activities in order to improve student’s performance and learning experience. The rigorous curriculum that defines this program has been conceived to enable students to gain admission to graduate schools, but it also provides excellent training to students who do not wish to pursue graduate studies. This major has been thought out to prepare students upon graduation to apply for government jobs as child protective services agent, adoption agent, criminal investigator, federal agent, police officer, clinical case manager, criminal case manager, correctional agent, parole officer, etc.
