Adawe Center

When you graduate from Ottawa University, you're ready for the real world.

The Adawe LifePlan Center helps you prepare.

Every University has counselors and advisors. Only Ottawa University offers you an advisor center dedicated to preparing you for LIFE. From degree planners to support your entire college experience to career preparation for that first job interview to discovering who you are as a person, your Adawe college life advisor is with you the whole way.

Your Adawe Advisor will contact you before classes even begin. So when you get here, you know there’s already someone looking out for you!

LifePlan Narrative

Together with your Adawe college plan advisor, you’ll craft your LifePlan Narrative – a look at your goals, where you are in life, and where you want to be. You’ll explore all of the following facets of life:

  • Academic and Intellectual
  • Career and Lifestyle
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Identity Formation
  • Health and Wellness
  • Enlightened Faith

About the Center

"Adawe" means "to trade or exchange."

The Adawe LifePlan Center was created to be more than Ottawa University’s advisor center. The Center is a free marketplace of ideas, somewhere safe for students to engage in big or small discussion and develop ideas and passions.  It was started several years ago at the suggestion of Ottawa University Chancellor Kevin Eichner. An Ottawa University alum, Chancellor Eichner credits his professors, mentors and advisors with helping him develop as a whole person and explore different career opportunities. He wanted all Ottawa University students to have an experience that empowered them to succeed, and so the Adawe LifePlan Center was born.
