David White grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in History, from Pittsburg State University in 1972. He then received his Master of Arts degree, also in History, from Kansas State University in 1973. After serving on active duty in the U. S. Army, he entered law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1982.
Mr. White has been a practicing civil litigator in the Greater Kansas City area for over 35 years. Most recently, he retired as a principal with the law firm of Foland, Wickens, Eisfelder, Roper & Hofer, P. C. in Kansas City, Missouri, and now continues with that firm as Of Counsel concentrating his practice on mediation and arbitration.
In addition to his law career, Mr. White served 27 years in the U. S. Army and Army Reserve as a military intelligence and logistics officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1999. He has served as a member of the Overland Park City Council since 2005.
