Dr. Bill Towns worked for the University of Kansas (KU) in different capacities for 32 years. He was the operations manager for the KU Memorial Unions from 1980 until 2002. He received his PhD in Foundations of Education from the University of Kansas in 2005 while working for the Center for Research on Learning at KU. Towns’ research interests include the influence of philosophical and ideological perspectives on education. As an assistant professor, he teaches history and education classes at Ottawa University including Foundations of Schools in a Diverse Society, World Civilization I and II, and the Orientation to the Academy classes. He also serves as Senior Advisor in the Adawe LifePlan Center.
