Two years ago, I met Hailee McKay and after interviewing many very qualified candidates chose to award the David C. Owen Leadership Institute scholarship to her for her last two years of college at Ottawa University.
She walked across the stage yesterday and received her diploma as a biology major with Cum Laude honors. Monday morning, she joins her OU Flag Football Team for a flight to Atlanta to play in the women’s national flag football tournament for the fourth year in a row, having won the championship for the last three years thanks in great part to her two outstanding coaches, Liz and Katie Sowers.
She will be joining the Army medical school program after college with aspirations to serve as a combat medic.
All the best Hailee as you advance to the next chapter of your very productive life!
