Dr. Usman Anjum joined Ottawa University in Surprise, Arizona, in July 2025 as an Associate Professor of Computer and Data Science. He has previously worked as a Research Associate at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, the University of Cincinnati, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master’s in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. He is also a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship.
Dr. Anjum has also held various academic and industry positions, including Executive Engineer at Siemens AG (2004–08), Executive Engineer at Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG (2008–09), Research Assistant at the University of Maryland (2010), Business Development Manager at Novateur Pvt. Ltd. (2012–14), and Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh (2014–21).
His expertise and research interest lies in AI, data science, machine and deep learning, and telecommunications.
