Career Outlook for Nurses

Students who choose to pursue a graduate degree in nursing work toward achieving an exciting career in nursing with incredible upside for future advancement. The average salary for a nurse educator in February 2021 was $76,590, and employment in the field is projected to grow 24% through 2026. Additionally, the average salary for a nurse leader in August 2020 was $82,100. In general, RNs are expected to see job growth of 16% through 2026, which is a much faster average than for all other occupations. Approximately 438,100 new RN jobs will be created by 2026 with many of them being nurse educators or leaders.
