Dr. Sandusky is a seasoned education executive with 23 years experience in strategic planning, marketing and positioning, enrollment management and financial aid modeling, student affairs and academics, profit and loss management in both the traditional in-seat and online learning modalities for complex, multi-campus university systems.
Proven executive leadership track record of shaping enrollment and improving student outcomes, as well as achieving net revenue goals and expense budgets in the fast changing landscape of higher education. Considerable experience with U.S. and international markets.
Teaching and faculty experience at the undergraduate and graduate level. Coursework includes; statistics, business ethics, organizational design and strategy, management resources.
Briana Barrera

Briana was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to Arizona 14 years ago to pursue her education and play collegiate tennis. Briana joined the Ottawa University team in 2015 as an enrollment advisor for the adult, professional and graduate studies division (APGS). She has since transitioned to the residential campus in Surprise, primarily working with student-athletes, international students, and graduate assistants. Currently, she is working to complete her MBA through Ottawa University.

Originally from Modesto, California, Joy moved to Arizona full-time in 2017 following the completion of her Bachelor’s degree in History at Grand Canyon University. In the pursuit of higher education, she completed her Master’s degree in History Education in the fall of 2020.
Joy’s background is in academic counseling and financial aid counseling, as she worked for Grand Canyon University as a Student Services Counselor for three years. Her belief is that success in higher education can be achieved by all people with the right mentors and support system.
Kristi Roza-Cabello

Originally from the Central Valley of California, Kristi recently moved to Surprise, Arizona to join the OUAZ team as a Community College Enrollment Advisor.
After receiving her Associates Degree in Health Care Administration, she transitioned into the Admissions Department at National University while completing her undergrad in Behavioral Sciences and Addictive Disorders followed by a Masters in Human Behavior.
In addition to working in Admissions, Kristi has been a faculty member in the areas of Sociology, Ethics, Psychology and her favorite area of Critical Thinking. This lead her into the Director of Career Services for onsite and online students, where her passion for working with students merged with preparing them for their post-college experiences. Additionally, she has been a small business owner for nearly a decade as a family & wedding photographer.
A Cleveland Ohio native, Eric moved to Arizona in 2010 after successful acceptance into The New Teacher Project’s (TNTP) highly selective Teaching Fellowship. The goal of the program is to offer students, grappling with the challenges of poverty, great teachers who are dedicated to altering the persistent socioeconomic disparity of academic performance between groups of students.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication from Cleveland State University, and a Master's degree in Education from Arizona State University. His background focuses on optimizing educational strategies to enhance social change, with a focus on topics related to disadvantaged populations. Eric has experience in long-term planning, behavior modeling, curriculum design, data collection, high-level predictive analysis, and also leading and creating teams.
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Peoria High School. I received a football scholarship to Briar Cliff University, where I also finished my undergraduate degree in Psychology. After graduation, I moved back to Arizona and started working in admissions for Grand Canyon University where I also received my Master of Science in Health Psychology. After 6 years of admissions there, I transitioned to my new home, Ottawa University. In addition to working in admissions, I have been coaching high school football for a local school for 5+ years. I have a passion for working with students in helping them achieve their highest potential.
An Entrepreneur at heart, William is originally from South Texas where he had a long career in the hospitality industry. He previously was a managing partner for a bar and restaurant and operated large food service operations for universities in the southwest. William became part of the Ottawa University family early on at the beginning of the OUAZ campus. He has seen not only the campus grow but also the students. William is a Senior Enrollment Advisor working with high school students from around the valley and throughout Arizona. He holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management.
