Speech Concentration

A concentration in Speech will help prepare you for a career in any number of areas, including:

  • Book editing
  • Copywriting or copy editing
  • Grant writing
  • Newsroom writing or editing
  • Public relations
  • Content management or production

Speech Performance Concentration Courses

A concentration consists of a minimum of four courses, of which at least 12 semester credits must be upper division. See the course catalog for more information regarding concentrations.
Select at least four of the following courses:

  • Argumentation and Debate

  • Oral Interpretation

  • Voice and Diction

  • Advanced Intercollegiate Forensics

  • Advanced Public Speaking

  • Leadership and Communication

  • Managing Organizational Conflict
